Cybersecurity Engineer & Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, direct, and manage complex systems, services, and capabilities in secure networks
  • Leverage advancements in technology to enhance and strengthen secure enterprise networks
  • Design, develop, and integrate secure networked enterprise capabilities
  • Organize, manage, develop, and lead geographically distributed engineering teams
  • Drive continual service improvement, portfolio planning, and availability, capability, and license management
  • Facilitate infrastructure testing, configuration management, change management, etc.
  • Formulate and execute alternative approaches and architectures for optimization and modernization

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • System and network security architecture
  • Information assurance policy
  • IT and telecommunication solutions
  • Encryption solutions 
  • Virtualization-based software and hardware solutions
  • Networking and network-based solutions
  • Current and emerging IT and telecommunication technologies
  • Section 508 and similar requirements
  • Configuration management and quality assurance

 

BACKGROUND

  • 15+ years experience in building complex engineering, architecture, and/or telecommunication solutions in secure government environments

 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
  • Preference for PMP certification
  • Preference for Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) or similar certificate
  • Preference for Cisco Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V) or similar certificate 
  • Preference for Microsoft Solutions Architect (MCSA) or similar certificate
  • Preference for certificates in network and security

 

JOB LOCATION

  • Washington D.C. metropolitan area

 

CLEARANCE

  • TOP SECRET clearance w/SCI eligibility

 

TRAVEL

  • Occasional travel to Stennis, MS
