ROLE
We need experienced Program Support at the Navy Bloodborne Infection Management Center (NBIMC). The NBIMC provides leadership and expertise to ensure mission readiness and to support the National Military Strategy, as well as, oversee the administration and aid in the development of policies concerning bloodborne infections for the DoN. In this role, you will assist command with creating documents, memos, and correspondence using Microsoft Suite, Adobe Pro, and SharePoint. This is a full-time opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides administrative support for various management programs
- Work closely with Program Analysts, Health Science Specialists and Clinical Laboratory Scientists
- Assist in developing, reviewing, updating and organizing documentation on procedures, guidelines, and operational processes related to the HIV testing program
- Assists in developing, reviewing, updating, and organizing documentation on procedures, guidelines, and operational processes related to the HIV Management System (HMS)
- Assists in developing, reviewing, updating, and organizing documentation on procedures, guidelines, and operational processes related to NBIMC's program administration.
- Assist Program Analysts and Health Science Specialists in tracking the trend performance of database applications
- Provides assistance in generating reports to support supervisor decision making
- Assist in research investigations
- Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of statistical analysis methods sufficient to interpret and present data received from Department of Defense (DoD), commercial sources and medical treatment facilities.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of health care professionals and private sector contractors
- Excellent working knowledge and use of computer software systems (such as MHS Genesis, CCHCS, AHLTA, MRRS, Cerner and LAN based systems)
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite programs (Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Publisher)
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrates good critical thinking skills
- Demonstrates good attention to detail
EDUCATION
- Associate degree in chemical sciences, Biological Sciences, Health Sciences or business administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least one year of experience in providing programmatic support in healthcare systems to maintain accurate records
- Experience with the military or consulting in a DoD environment
