Information & Engagements Manager ROLE We need an experienced Information & Engagements Manager at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Research & Development (R&D) - Medical Research and Development Command (MRDC). DHA R&D-MRDC is a global command supporting medical research for warfighter’s unique requirements. This division provides strategic communications, public affairs, marketing, and multimedia support to the PAO. In this role, you will lead command visits and engagements, manage formal taskers, coordinate SMEs and stakeholders, and maintain the command’s engagements calendar and after-action reporting. Importantly, you will also serve as the on-site supervisor and manager for Strategic Communications, Marketing, and Multimedia Support contract staff, ensuring quality delivery across all workstreams. RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the on-site supervisor and manager for all Strategic Communications, Marketing, and Multimedia Support contract staff, overseeing day-to-day operations and performance
Organize requests and invitations for command visits with senior military, Congressional personnel, and private-sector partners
Design visits, secure locations, and create agenda outlines for showcased programs and products
Research issues, solicit inputs, conduct analyses, and implement solutions to achieve objectives
Develop command taskers and serve as the tasking-system point of contact
Manage communications between customers and SMEs from initial contact to final outcome
Distribute official correspondence including invitations, agendas, registration information, hotel details, and reminders
Manage and coordinate meetings, vendors, attendee communications, on-site registration, check-in, and protocol
Conduct pre-visit preparation and day-of setup and teardown
Develop talking points and coordinate/clear presentation materials with the PAO
Quickly draft social media posts and short blurbs tied to visits and engagements
Assist with invite creation and lists for large events, and support ancillary needs such as catering, name tags, and event packets
Provide support for conferences and trade shows
Maintain an accurate visit calendar and after-action (lessons learned) file
Generate and share original content on social channels in coordination with Strategic Communications
Support protocol functions as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of five (5) years of experience aligned with job duties
Familiarization with AI Tools – preferred
EDUCATON
Degree in communication-related fields - preferred
