Computer Support Technician ROLE We need an experienced Computer Support Technician at the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO), District of Minnesota (DMN). The USAO DMN prosecutes and defends cases on behalf of the federal government. In this role, you will provide technical support across various IT functions including systems and network administration, customer service, and information security. You'll work closely with the IT Systems Manager and Specialist to ensure optimal system performance, secure and efficient operations, and responsive end-user support. RESPONSIBILITIES
Test, configure, install, implement, maintain, and manage networked systems used for transmitting data, voice, and video.
Ensure system availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency, and may be granted administrative rights at the discretion of the USAO-MN.
Implement, maintain, and enhance information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
Provide IT customer support including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, inventory management, and training.
Assist IT staff with configuring, installing, and maintaining networked systems.
Support the Office intranet and internet sites by converting content to web pages, checking links, and repairing errors.
Assist in planning, developing, and coordinating litigation support and case management services.
Apply knowledge of IT systems integration to optimize performance and resolve complex issues with minimal service interruption.
Use tools and techniques for performance tuning, database management, and troubleshooting to improve system efficiency.
Install, upgrade, test, and maintain operating systems and ensure interoperability and reliability.
Provide customer service and training aligned with USAO DMN policies and user requirements.

Proficient in performance tuning, database management, and systems administration.

Applies effective troubleshooting to minimize service interruptions.
Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 10 lbs.
