Records Management Specialist
ROLE
We need an experienced Records Management Specialist at the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC). The NIGC is an independent federal agency within the Department of the Interior, established to promote tribal economic development, maintain the integrity of the Indian gaming industry, and ensure that tribes are the primary beneficiaries of their gaming activities. In this role, you will perform records management activities according to federal privacy and legal requirements; manage the flow of FOIA and Privacy Act correspondence; maintain Salesforce CRM and SharePoint sites; create and execute PowerShell scripts to support records management tasks; and compile data for reports and maintain indexes. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform records management activities according to Federal government privacy and legal requirements.
- Assist in the development of analyses and reports associated with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act (PA) processes.
- Manage the flow of FOIA and PA correspondence or requests and establish processes to provide prompt responses to requestors in accordance with FOIA policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform technical tasks involved in maintaining Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Participate in the development of information management policies and governance of supporting applications on Microsoft 365 and Salesforce platforms.
- Manage SharePoint sites content and permissions.
- Create and execute PowerShell scripts to produce reports and perform records management tasks.
- Compile data for reports, transcribe reports, and maintain indexes.
- Ensure that all work products are proofread and free of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of experience in records management, FOIA processing, or a related information management role.
- Demonstrated experience with the responsibilities defined above.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications or demonstrated hands-on experience may be substituted per SOO Sec 6.
LOCATION
- Washington, DC (NIGC Headquarters, 550 12th Street SW, Washington, DC 20024). Primarily onsite; limited remote work at the discretion of the designated Federal Task Manager.

COMPENSATION
- Compensation Range: $65,000 - $90,000 commensurate on experience
